In cooperation with the Northwest Educational Council for Student Success (NECSS), more than 500 students from districts 211, 214, and 220 attended the new “Future Educators Conference” at Harper College in Palatine earlier this year. The conference was held with a goal to encourage diversity for future educators amidst teacher shortages.
While also encouraging career pathways, NECSS Executive Director Nancy Awdziejczyk said the conference met its goal of encouraging potential future educators.
