The Peoria Regional Workforce Alliance hosted its summer retreat on June 12. They had a keynote address from representatives from the Vienna School District, who discussed lessons learned in implementing the Postsecondary and Career Expectations Framework, and a business panel comprised of representatives from the banking/finance, construction, IT, and healthcare sectors addressed key questions about workforce development and trends. In addition, there were updates from key collaborative partners, including Junior Achievement of Central Illinois, who provided information on CareerSpark. Other presenters included representatives from Illinois Central College, Greater Peoria Essential Abilities and Knowledge, and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
