In February, Black Hawk Region Pathways completed a region-wide PaCE training with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Schools from Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer Counties participated in the training and developed a customized framework. Black Hawk Region Pathways looks forward to schools using the framework and making additions to their programs to meet all the suggested goals.
The region has hired a staff person for the Black Hawk College Intermediary Center. Ms. Todd was previously the Xello Coordinator for the Quad City Career and Technical Education Consortium and has begun the process of building a structural foundation for implementing work-based learning while encouraging and linking the use of Xello. The pilot school districts include Rock Island Milan, Moline-Coal Valley, and United Township.
