Evanston Places 35 Summer Interns

The Evanston Township High School (ETHS) iKit Summer Internship Program places graduating seniors with local employers in ten-week paid internships related to their career interests. This past summer, 28 graduating ETHS seniors and six rising seniors were placed with local employers in several pathways. Of this total, 17 graduates and all six rising seniors were placed in the healthcare pathway through the ASPIRE program at Northshore University Health System. MEAC also placed graduating seniors with manufacturing, hospitality, and senior living employers. Four of the graduating seniors have been hired by their host employer, with several others in the pipeline.

The ETHS school calendar for the first semester is full of career awareness activities for students, teachers, and administrators. The second annual Aviation Day is scheduled for October 25, the Manufacturing Day Field trip is scheduled for November 28, and the first Health Science Expo is set for January 29.
