A partnership comprised of the Regional Office of Education #47, Whiteside Area Career Center (WACC), Rock Falls High School (RFHS), the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and area employers held the first Annual Signing Day for local students entering the workforce in a manufacturing/trades pathway.
These students participated in classes offered through WACC or RFHS to gain skills in the manufacturing pathway. As part of the class, students are eligible for an internship in their senior year. Local employers provide these internships, and some offer full-time employment to these students upon graduation.
