Innovation was on full display at Barrington 220’s annual Innovation Showcase, where students from across the district shared projects that reflected creativity, curiosity, and real-world learning.
The event brought together learners from elementary school through high school, giving families and community members a unique opportunity to see the progression of student learning across grade levels. Elementary students showcased Creativity Projects developed throughout the year, while participants in the Fresh Ink Entrepreneurship Program presented food truck concepts that demonstrated problem-solving, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking.
At the high school level, students in Career Technical Education (CTE) programs displayed portfolios, products, and capstone projects from a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, graphic design, photography, journalism, education, mobile app development, TV production, and more. Their work highlighted both technical skill and the ability to apply classroom learning to authentic challenges and experiences.
The showcase also featured students who participated in Barrington 220’s Creativity Project program. With guidance from mentors in areas such as the arts, STEM, performance, and community service, students pursued passion-driven projects and proudly shared the results with visitors.
More than a display of student work, the Innovation Showcase reflected Barrington 220’s commitment to providing learning experiences that foster creativity, innovation, and purpose. It was an inspiring celebration of what students can accomplish when they are empowered to explore their interests, solve problems, and create something meaningful.
