Illinois Valley Community College has established a College and Career Pathways website to help high school students, parents, and academic counselors identify dual credit and community college courses aligned with career interests. The website will help advance one of the 2-Year Goals established by the NCI/Starved Rock Leadership Community: “refine and publicize career pathways.”
On August 21, 2026, Illinois Valley Community College hosted a meeting of the IBHE Regional State Attainment Working Group. The meeting brought together representatives from state and local governments, ICCB, IVCC leadership, high schools, employers, and nonprofit organizations. It explored educational partnerships and employer needs in the northwest region (Economic Development Region 6) in response to the governor’s 2026-03 Executive Order to “conduct a comprehensive review of existing state and regional education and workforce plans” and “define credentials of value.”
