Barrington High School recently hosted its 2026 Career Pathway Summit, bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals to strengthen connections between classroom learning and real-world careers.
The event began with a networking lunch followed by a “State of the Pathways” presentation highlighting the school’s expanding career pathway programs and partnerships. Participants then joined breakout advisory sessions organized by pathway areas, including business, health sciences, information technology, manufacturing and trades, education, media, culinary arts, public safety, agriculture, and the arts.
During these sessions, teachers, students, and industry professionals discussed current programs, workforce needs, and opportunities for collaboration, such as internships, guest speakers, and mentorships. Students also led optional tours of key learning spaces, showcasing hands-on programs across the school.
The summit is part of Barrington High School’s ongoing effort to build strong partnerships with local industry and ensure students graduate prepared for college, careers, and community impact.
