Bloom Trail High School’s Hosts “Activate Your Opportunities with the ACT

Bloom Trail High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) department hosted “Activate Your Opportunities with the ACT,” a student-focused panel highlighting how academic preparation can expand future opportunities. Students gathered to hear from professionals across business, education, and creative industries who shared how preparation and planning helped shape their career paths.

During the discussion, panelists spoke about the role the ACT can play in opening doors to scholarships, college programs, career training, and other postsecondary options. Dr. Lenell Navarre encouraged students to view the exam as more than a score, emphasizing that preparation can create access to a wider range of opportunities. Panelists also discussed balancing academics with activities, building discipline, and developing confidence through preparation.

Students asked thoughtful questions about test preparation, managing busy schedules, and how the ACT connects to different career paths, including trades and apprenticeships. The event reinforced Bloom Trail’s commitment to connecting career education with academic readiness and helping students prepare for a range of post-high school possibilities.
