In August, Evanston’s Mayor’s Employer Advisory Council (MEAC) announced that it would be embedded in Evanston Township High School (ETHS) starting in SY25 under the leadership of the Director of Early College and Career Experience. ETHS is committed to supporting career awareness and work-based learning opportunities to help students prepare for life after high school and has identified a team to lead the work moving forward. MEAC’s chairperson will continue to serve as an advisor.
At the handoff, MEAC shared highlights of its accomplishments over the past seven years, which include career awareness panels, job shadows, and internship programs.
