Approximately two dozen paraprofessionals from school districts throughout Northwest Illinois will soon enroll in Northern Illinois University’s LEAP (Licensed Educator Accelerated Pathway) program, which will be housed at SVCC and Highland Community College, beginning this fall. This initiative will help local schools grow their talent by investing in current employees. SVCC is excited to partner with NIU on this work, and also honored to support future teachers on their journey toward earning a degree, transforming lives, and shaping the next generation.
